A good day
Feb. 13th, 2010 07:57 pmI've had a lovely day.
Slept in late, grabbed coffee and an easy breakfast. Chel had a fix it ticket and not one but six cops walked into the coffee shop this morning. Even better, she had the ticket with her.
A trip to the dog park at Point Isabel. The sun was out and the puppies frolicked in the muddy grass. I saw a breed new to me - toy australian shepherd - and met a woman who was moving to New York City to help her Mother transition. We exchanged numbers as she needed support about providing hospice care. She has a cairn terrier and my vet has long speculated Max is half wirehair dachsund and half cairn. I'm not so sure.
After grabbing a lime Italian soda, Chel and I tossed the puppies in the self-service baths at Mud Puppy and brought them home where they instantly fell asleep.
A quick lunch followed by a spur of the moment pedicure. Home for a shower and savoring this weekend's book, The Path to Bodhidharma. A bit of web to see what's going on with the world and a quick hello to us dinosaurs left on LJ.
